My jaw dropped a few feet when I read the story a week ago. I'm suprised that it wasn't in the American media until now, well then again, maybe not that surprised.

I'm still maintaining my stance that Zarqawi was behind the attacks in Syria because of the relation to the thwarted attempt in Jordan. My blog isn't sophisticated with permalinks so I can't link, but I put forth a small argument on there.

The question is...where did all these chemical weapons come from? and can they do it again, successfully the next time?

Perhaps after September 11, Islamists realized that attacking the "far enemy" wasn't the best idea. Or perhaps it was brilliant to draw our forces over there, then start attacking the near enemy more ruthlessly. Essentially collapse a two front war into one front, and when the US pulls out, hail victory for both.

"AMMAN (JT) — Her Majesty Queen Rania on Thursday participated with thousands of Jordanians in a national public rally pledging allegiance to the country, denouncing all forms of terror and calling for security and stability in the region." http://www.jordantimes.com/fri/homenews/homenews3.htm
