OFF THE MAP
After several months of essential anonymity, everyone's favorite Iraqi nut job, Moqtada al-Sadr is back. Since he's got his boys fighting again, he's back in the news, making every network (and even getting the Baghdad based reporters some air time) even making the lead story on NBC last night.
But the reason I point this out is that it makes clear how little the press cares about anything but violence. As you read the coverage of Sadr's return to the frontlines, notice the names of the Shia cities involved, and ask yourselves: when was the last time you saw or read any stories at all about the way things were going in those areas.

Well, this is off-topic, again.
But the title of your post, "off the map" is close to what this Arabic language forum has in it.
Want to get chills about the threat we face? Check this site out. I have broken the link in two parts, you will have to manually copy and paste it in the browser b/c they can retrace links back if not.
I just happened to run across this as I surfed. I do pray the appropriate authorities monitor this forum. The following link has large detailed maps of Long Island. This is also a site where there are pictures of dead Americans, all sorts of jihad propaganda, etc.

You say the media only wants to report the violence and G.I.s are saying they are NOT reporting all the violence.
read this
But then what does he know, he's just in Mosul.

I had trouble posting to that site last nt for some reason. I don't think his post changes my argument one tiny bit; it adds to it. The areas where there is no violence get absolutely no press attention whatsoever. AND according to him, now we find out that even the areas where there is violence, and there are reporters, arent being reported accurately. How is there any inconsistency there?
