I've gone on at some length (and on many occasions) about the media's seemingly unbreakable attachment to the nearly meaningless term, "insurgent."

As a LTC in the reserves I have also been troubled by the "insurgent" label and posted on it at http://rightinraleigh.blogspot.com/2005/05/terrorists-or-insurgents.html last week. Glad to see the liberal but always honest Hitchens take up the topic as well.
