But Hey, You Didn't Hear It From Me
All 3 networks report on the problems in the negotiations over the Iraqi constitution (although they aren't in complete agreement over the status of the negotiations and although "report" is a bit of an exaggeration regarding ABC's coverage.)
But none of them bothers to mention what Fox does -- after being tipped off by the locals, US forces are able to launch an airstrike on a building where jihadist fighters, maybe leaders, are meeting, in time to launch on the meeting itself and kill dozens.
Why is it that when the enemy is active, has a good day, kills many, well, by God, that's essential news and must be covered. But when our forces are active, have a good day, kill many -- because of the cooperation of average Iraqis no less -- well, that can fall by the wayside. (And don't tell me it's a time issue, because this is information easily compressed to a sentence or two of wire copy.)
Is it any wonder so many Americans think the war is going badly?
Why on earth would they have any reason to think differently?

How long before the BBC or al-Reuters announce that imperialist aircraft destroyed a "wedding party"?
