(via Instapundit) One of the Oxbloggers notes that if you compare coverage between the Post and the Times, you'd be mightily confused.
The answer might be this simple: much as we think about John Burns around here, I don't think he speaks Arabic. That leaves he and his colleagues reliant upon "Iraqi employees" of the Times (stringers, in other words, about which we know nothing. Are they Sunni? Shia? what cities were they reporting from? what's their background in journalism?) The Post, on the other hand, has multiple reporters fluent in Arabic (although I can't find out how they define "special correspondent" and I'm mightily curious as to what that means) and their folks are reporting from far and wide all over the country.
