The Subway Threat
Here's the part I don't understand. The Post's article says that the feds think this intelligence isn't all that credible, but also says that this intelligence led to this:
CNN reported that U.S. military and other government agencies conducted a raid south of Baghdad on Wednesday night based on the same threat information passed to New York officials, rounding up al Qaeda operatives and intelligence. (My emph.)
In other words, as I read this, this supposedly non-credible intelligence has already generated a raid which did lead to the capture of al Queda operatives. Isn't that proof that there's something substantial to this material? Or is "threat information" substantively different from "intelligence?"
