Between Two Worlds -- Sort Of
The Times is clearly taken with this Brooklyn imam and the job he's doing helping his congregants navigate between Islam and their new life in America, but wouldn't he serve them better if he bothered to learn English -- a failure they don't bother to mention except in passing, at the end of the very long story -- or if he bothered to acquaint himself with the vast array of social services made available by the city, another failure only mentioned at the end of the story?
