You know how it goes: the very instant you tell someone that you think things in Iraq aren't going as badly as they may seem, you see it in their faces: at some level you're just dismissed from that point on as an ideologue or worse.
Well here are some numbers (as Bob mentioned in the comments yesterday) via Instapundit from Brookings. As the blogger who posts them points out, it's a little hard to look at them, and not reach the conclusion that something is off in the way data's been coming our way. (Although as soon as you see that car bombs are down you think -- that makes sense, I haven't seen any reporting on car bombs lately. But the point is that the fact has to be brought to your attention.)
